HaPpy biRThday LoLa LindA!

I'm blessed to have a great mother-in-law.  No kidding.  Not everyone gets along with their in-laws, and I'm proud to say, I'm not one of them.  Mama Linda and I are not that close but I am slowly building a relationship with her.  For starters, whenever my husband does a 'boo-boo' towards me, I call her to make 'sumbong'. Would she meddle and get in-between?  Nope she wont, but lending me an ear is more than enough to cheer me up.  More often than not, we would end up laughing our heads off - thinking of ways on how to get back/even with my husband. lol.  How cool is that!

So for her birthday, I urged hubby to fetch her and treat her to lunch...

Of course, the one thing that would make her day... her grandchildren.   So I made sure that Joaquin and Jacob will be with their Lola on her special day.

So how well do I know my Mama Linda?  These are the things I've observed and I know that this list will grow longer as the years progress...

1. She eats like a bird.  And usually it's my hubby who finishes her meals. Haha!
2. She loves to cook for her family.  And I love that she shares her recipes with me.  I love her potroast!
3. Conti's is one of her favorite restaurants.  (This is where we treated her for lunch).
4. She's most likely to be asleep by 8am and awake by 3am.
5. She's a certified 'ginawin'.
6. Her term of endearment to her boys is "Noy".
7. She loves her daily dose of showbiz chismis.  So if you need any updates, call her. Haha!
8. She jogs every morning at a nearby university.
9. She has a solid barkada of almost 30 plus years.  Their friendship is unbelievable.
10. Her sons are all certified Mama's boys (this is in a positive light).  They are closer (confides and calls her every now and then) to her compared to their Dad.  And I wish Joaquin, Jacob, and I would have the same relationship.

Happy Happy Birthday Mama Linda!  Thank you for all the kindness and patience.  We love you po!
