HoLy WeEk

Being a devout Catholic, our family is one to strictly observe the Holy week.  For starters,  meat was off the menu, which was fine for us, since Tintin had loads of Tuna belly and Tuna ‘panga’ from her recent Davao trip.

Tuna Kilawin and Ensalada

Since I was on bed rest mode, I wasn’t able to join the 1st procession on Holy Wednesday.   But we let Joaquin join as as our representative. Lol.  He didn’t walk though, he rode on the tri-bike all they way through! (daya!)

What I look forward to is the Visita Iglesia wherein our family targets at least 7 churches, which we successfully accomplished this year.  I love to look at churches, especially how they dressed up their Holy Sacrament area.  And before you react, no I didn’t go up and down the 7 churches; I was content staying in the car the whole time.

The last procession was on Good Friday, but sadly, due to my condition, we weren’t able to join.  But on the bright side, I get to spend the whole day at home with my family.
More than just observing tradition, what I love and look forward to every year with Holy Week, is that with our busy schedules, the whole Cordova get to sit down, talk, bond, and just have a good time.

Dear Con, Nel, Joaquin and soon to arrive (or arriveD na ba?) baby boy,

I have been following your blog since, uhm, well- I don't want to sound like a stalker, but since you got married I guess? Anyway, I saw your photos at Mimi and Karl's website back then and totally fell in love with your gown, which happens to be a Veluz creation. Long story short, I love reading your everyday adventures. Ever since moving here in LA, I miss family and home a lot. By reading your blog, it sort of gives me a little satisfaction- para bang, I am living vicariously through you (and others). Like you, my family and I are very close. But everyone must move one and "fly away" from the nest sooner or later, unfortunately mine is a few thousand miles away!

Anyway, best of luck on everything you set your heart on. Have a healthy delivery! God bless you.

Congratulations! God bless you and your growing family. Yes, it would be great to meet you all someday. Hopefully pag uwi namin next, which I'm guessing will be in 2012. There's discussions of renewing our vows 12.12.12 - o diba, birthday din kasi ni hubby yun eh... Sana, by that time afford ko na rin mag Veluz! Anyway, good luck again in everything you do. I wish you well in all your endeavors, best of health to your two little boys and hubby.
