My Boy TuRns 3!

Letters To Joaquin...

Dearest Anak,

I woke up looking at your beautiful face as you slept soundly besides me.  I said a silent prayer thanking the Lord for another year with you and that I can't believe how blessed Papa and I to have you.

I opened my laptop and looked back at pictures of you... Then I started to cry.  Tears of joy or sadness perhaps that you are growing so fast.  I resent the times I left you behind, I wish I can be there by your side 24/7but then this is all for you anak.

Remember this anak? This was when you were two months old and the other one at for months old, people would stop and stare at you -- because you were really big and cuddly!  Just look at you arms! Hahaha!  Mama can't even see your neck. Hahaha

At age 3 sweetie, you are an unstoppable force.  You will not take NO for an answer.  YOu won't stop unless you are satisfied with the proper explanation.  I can't help but be amazed at how smart you have become.  Most people would say, "Parang matanda na ang kausap!"  Simple adorable anak.

You never passed the 'baby talk' stage anak, you were simply smart with your words! Galing!  I can't help but recall one exchange you had with your papa while on our way home from Hyatt.

Joaquin: Papa Mcdo tayo!
Papa: Yes anak! ok! we will eat at Mcdo
...But then you kept on asking papa and reminding him of Mcdo for more than 30 times that it somewhat got on Papa's nerves...
Joaquin: Papa Mcdo tayo ha? ha? ha?
Papa: Bakit Joaquin may pera ka ba?! (with exasperation in his voice - dahil sa kakulitan mo)
Joaquin: (with vindication and as a matter of fact face) Wala, diba ikaw meron?
Mama: (laughed her head out)

Anak, I can't wait to enjoy and experience more as you grow!  We are just so lucky!

BaCk-To-BaCk

Since I'll be starting my OJT soon (which is two months of hard core hotel kitchen training), hubby and I agreed that a back to back swimming extravaganza ain't a bad idea especially for our Joaquin.

First of was a leisure stay at Tagaytay highlands care of Kuya Erwin (Joaquin's godfather) together with the whole Versoza Family.

Then off to Montemar with the Santiagos the next day

And now, don't ask what is the shade of Joaquin's skin. Hahahaha!
