After 29 years of living at Pasig Greenpark, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine such catastrophic event can happen...

his and hers cars... our sofa... our stuff...

view from 2nd flr landing... view from our roof....

In spite of this, we are still thankful that:
1. It happened during the day. Just imagine if this happened during the dead of night. scary.
2. That we have a second floor. We were able to seek sanctuary and save some basic necessities that enabled us to survive while we were stranded.
3. That we were able to charge our cellphones. If not, rescue would not have reached us.
4. That we were together. That hubby had no rowing that morning, or else Joaquin and I will be left alone to deal with the rising flood waters.
5. THAT WE ARE ALL SAFE and ALIVE. God is good.

I've been posting here and at may FB account how talented Joaquin is with his ball, specifically basketball. Well all the while I thought maybe because I'm just one proud biased mom. I was wrong. We were at timezone in Makati and letting Joaquin spent his P100 budget on basketball when we were approached by an elderly tall man. He asked how old Joaquin is. When he found out that Joaquin is just 2 yrs old, he was so bewildered and amazed at how good he was at shooting the ball. His exact term is "Your baby already has an eye-hand coordination, and can shoot fluidly". He gave us his calling card, Lo and behold! He was a basketball couch for one of the top universities and a former PBA player as well!!! My bad for not watching basketball! Haha! He left but we were surprised when he returned and on the spot trained Joaquin! Hahahaha! He just can't stand to leave my baby, and since he was so astounded, he didn't hesitate to give tips and improved more Joaquin's shooting skill. Galing noh! And I am just one damn proud Mama!
