My sister turned 26 today, but as tradition, the Santiago cousins had a birthday salubong the night before the big day! Tin had the bar close just for her salubong. Cousins from all walks of life came in and drank-sang-laughed the night away :) Paul outshone the band with his one man performance. Man, this kid is unbelievably talented!!!




Then come today, we had TinTin all to ourselves. A simple dinner at Fish & Company, where in as usual, Joaquin stole the show. Hahahahaha!




Thank you Lord for another year in my sister's life...

miKko's 28th birThdAy!

My brother celebrated his 28th birthday with a bang at Dad's Glorietta with family. Prior to that, he had a grand celebration at our home with relatives and his buddies (o dba parang nag-debut) hahaha!

Little trivia: My brother is an avid 'fisherman'. He literally is in love with fishing. He can stand the whole in a lake with just his trusted fishing pole waiting for that precious 'bite'. He even has his own website http://www.filipinoanglers.com

As far as I can remember, we grew up 'strangling' each other's neck. LOL! I thought we'd never outgrow the 'kiddie-violence' between us. There was never a day that passed that we didn't try to 'exterminate' each other. Lol! But then we matured. And now I consider him my stronghold. I can't imagine running the family business without him :)

Our dearest little King turned 7yrs old today. We planned for a birthday celebration at his school but due to the bad weather, classes were canceled. We couldn't just let the day pass, so we had an impromptu celebration at Mcdonald's Libis :)





Wish Tita Susan is here to see her little boy, but I know she's constantly watching over him :)

I'm such a bad blogger that no one wonder sheriff is not approving me at all! To catch up for way behind posts, here is a summary of the happenings these past weeks.

July 2: Holiday! Yey! No work (of course, it's not applicable if you're in a family business). It's cousin Mafee's 17th birthday as well. We had a lunch at their cozy country style home in Antipolo.

July 6: Mama Linda and Kuya Jovel's birthday! Joaquin surprised his Lola with a bouquet of flowers at the skating rink. Lola Linda was totally surprised, delighted, and squealed in laughter when she saw Joaquin with the flowers! Hahaha! how cute!

July 8: Papa Andy's birthday! Santiago clan had a sumptuous breakfast at Delifrance Libis.

July 9: Mama Linda and Kuya Jovel's birthday dinner at Gloria Maris greenhills, wherein Joaquin showed them his signature dance moves! Hahahaha!

July 10: This is a rare treat for me! Malling with my parents (with Joaquin, King, Viel, and Yaya Aimee in tow)! Papa loves it when he brings Joaquin and King to a kiddie gym/play area. He doesn't mind watching over them. It's therapy for him seeing his grandchild laughing and enjoying. While Papa was watching over the kids, my Mama and I went shopping at a trade fair, wherein Mama bought me a pair of really nice wedges! It was a Mom-daughter bonding time that I have terribly missed :(

July 11: Cousin Empoy's birthday breakfast at Delifrance Libis (that is fast becoming Santiago events place! Hahahaha!)

July 13: Lolo Omeng's 7th year death anniversary. Sometimes I wonder if Daddy Omeng was still alive... Joaquin would have surely made him smile and laugh... sigh... I miss Daddy Omeng.

July 16: Tito Jhong (Papa's youngest brother) leaves for the U.S. He stayed for three weeks here in Manila, but we didn't get to spend much time. Maybe if I get to travel to the U.S., we'll come by and visit to make up for lost time :)
