I always get asked on how do I spend my holy week. When I was still single, the Cordovas usually spend it at home. We usually attend processions on Holy Wednesday and Good Friday, since we are in-charge of one 'karo'. Holy Thursday is reserved for the 'Visita Iglesia', wherein we target a minimum of 7 churches. But since, I have my own family and Joaquin is just one active lovable toddler, balancing is an act we need to master. hahahaha!

Holy Week with Joaquin and two clans madly in love with him meant, juggling and rushing from one family to the next. It became a reunion, fiesta, and eating galore of sorts since this is the only holiday (aside from Yuletide season), that the families are present. Some may criticize how come we didn't observe fasting and the likes (which I think is impossible with all the celebrations), I believe Holy Week goes beyond that and is more than that. What is important is that the family is together in faith and in love.
