Yes 42 yrs ago, Mama celebrated her birthday in the delivery room of Medical City,giving birth to my youngest sister, Viel.
Since their birthday falls on a Monday, we already had a pre-birthday celebration yesterday with the Santiagos at Kingsville, where my siblings and I prepared and cooked all the dishes. My mom and sister's birthday is one of the events we look forward to because it is a reunion of all sorts (read: all day non-stop eating, games, and laughter).
I thank the Lord for adding another year to their lives. Not everyone is as blessed as I am to have a sister and a mother who are there for me 101%.
